It’s that time of year… back to school! Sometimes making that transition back can be challenging when you’ve been out of practice for a while. We’ve come up with a few quick tips to make it as smooth as possible.
1. Prepare the night before
Get everything you need for the next day ready the night before so the morning can be as painless as possible. Make your lunch, lay out your clothing, organize your backpack, and make sure you have all the supplies you need.
2. Get an assignment book
Since you’ve been out of school for a couple months, you might be more likely to forget your assignments and deadlines. Get an assignment book and write everything down so nothing slips through the cracks.
3. Eat breakfast
To establish a morning routine, start your day with a healthy breakfast. It will give you energy for the rest of your school day and get your morning started off right.
4. Create a homework station
Find a clean and organized place to do your homework each day. Stock it with the supplies you need, and keep it clutter-free so you can get your work done efficiently.
5. Keep a monthly calendar
Have a monthly calendar on your wall or on your computer that you can easily see and access. Keep track of upcoming events like sports games, play auditions, school pictures, tests, and project deadlines, so you’ll always be prepared for whatever is coming your way.
