As we continue to make efforts to modernize education in the digital age, as a student-centric digital portfolio, GoEnnounce has chosen an exclusive group of educators to join us in advocating for increased digital citizenship education in the classroom, specifically relating to digital footprint. These teachers and administrators are passionate about teaching students to build a positive digital image and leveraging social media to increase their achievement.We are thrilled to formally announce and introduce our 19 founding members, who we have named Digital Image Champions:
1. Tanya Avrith, @TanyaAvrith
South Florida
Tanya is an Educational Technology consultant with Amplified IT and previously served as the Lead Educational Technology and Digital Citizenship Teacher at the Lester B. Pearson School Board where she helped in the vision and execution of the district wide Digital Citizenship Program. Tanya is a Google for EDU Certified Innovator, Apple Distinguished Educator, and Pedagogical Consultant.
2. Craig Badura, @mrbadura
Aurora, Nebraska
Craig is the PK-12 Technology Integration Specialist for Aurora Public Schools and co-founded#digcit chat and #1to1ipadchat. Named one of the Top 10 Digital Citizenship bloggers by Common Sense Media in 2014, Craig has presented at several schools in Nebraska on digital citizenship and offers effective ways to integrate technology into any classroom.

Heather is a Technology Integration Specialist for Northwest Public Schools and a NETA board member. Heather is also a Common Sense Graphite Certified Educator and a Common Sense Digital Citizenship Certified Educator and has a passion for integrating technology in education.

Kayla is a 2nd grade teacher, National Speaker, @TEDx Speaker, @pbsteachers Lead Digital Innovator, and @AmazonEdu innovator. Kayla is a contributing writer for the leading educational technology website in the United States, EdSurge.com.

Kerry is a St. John’s Prep Digital Learning Specialist and Director of K-12 Education for ConnectSafely, a non-profit which educates technology users about privacy and security. Kerry is Coordinator of the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence Student Leadership Institute and has helped her schools develop student-driven technology integration programs.
6. Kevin Honeycutt, @kevinhoneycutt
Inman, KS
Kevin is a Tech Integration Specialist at ESSDACK, where he designs programs for training and staff development for educational uses of technology. Kevin is also a co-developer of a project based learning approach called the Life Practice Model which provides training and certification in a student driven approach to learning.

Katrina has spent the last 15 years in the K-12 technology education field to find new technologies for classrooms. Katrina is the Co-Founder of Edventure Quests, a MIEExpert, Remind Connected Educator, Class Dojo Ambassador, Osmo Ambassador, Seasaw Ambassador, Appolearning Ambassador, and founder of #tntechchat and #edcampleadtn.

Ginger is also an education consultant with ESSDACK and specializes in Project Based Learning, Technology Integration, Gifted and High-Ability Learners, and Creativity. Ginger was Director of Turning Point Learning Center’s f2f Program where she worked to create the LifePractice Model of a rich learning environment utilizing Project Based Learning and 1:1 laptops with a Democratic approach to learning.

Kristen is a Professional Learning Specialist and Library Media Center Director interested in educational technology at Waubonsie Valley High School. Kristen is also working towards a Doctoral degree studying Digital Citizenship in Public Schools.

With over 10 years of educational technology experience in both K-12 and higher education, Bryan is well versed in curriculum design, professional development, 1:1 implementation, and strategic planning. Kyle is a K-12 Instructional Technology Specialist, Google EDU Certified Trainer, Google EDU Innovator, Presenter, and #edcampKC organizer. Kyle has worked in his current school district to provide instructional technology and professional development.

Katie is a Specialist-Staff Developer with ESSDACK and was previously an instructional coach with six years of experience in the elementary classroom. Katie was named the Region One Elementary Kansas Teacher of the Year for 2014.

Eric is a passionate Educator Y13, Digital Learning Coach, has received the HEB Excellence in Education Award, and is Google, Graphite, Nearpod and Newsela Certified. Eric’s specialties are formative assessment, data analysis, student engagement, iPads for education (for teachers and students), and Google Apps for education (for administrators, teachers, and students).

Sarah is an Educator and Regional Technology Coordinator in the DC area. Sarah is also a founder of the EduMatch Project, which uses Voxer, guest blogging, and a weekly Twitter chat/podcast to help educators connect globally.
