E-nnouncing our March Scholarship Winner!

Kayla Evans

Our “GoEnnounce Yourself” Scholarship awards one student $500 each month! This award goes to a student who’s doing a great job showcasing who he/she is by sharing school related ‘ennouncement’ updates with Followers on his/her GoEnnounce Student Page. We’re thrilled to “ennounce” March’s winner…the all around amazing student, Kayla Evans!

As a junior in Douglas County High School, Kayla is very involved. This month, she won the opportunity to meet one of her mentors in the medical field and shares the experience on her GoEnnounce Page. She also achieved all A’s on her report card and won the 2014 Georgia BioGENEius Challenge at the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair. Wow, that’s an impressive month! In addition to theses achievements, Kayla is also a part of the Science National Honor Society, Beta Club, Spanish National Honor Society, HOSA, and on the track and field team at her high school!

You may be wondering what Kayla does when she has free time. On her GoEnnounce Student Page she shares her involvement in the Model Atlanta Regional Commission. This program brings together 50 high school students from around the Metro-Atlanta area and they learn about issues facing the area, which they try and come up with resolutions for! Kayla also “ennounced” how she was selected to be in the Youth Leadership Douglas program, where she will be learning about the city of Douglasville and strengthening her skills in leadership. Her other hobbies include playing the piano, dancing ballet, lyrical and jazz, while also dancing for her church.

Kayla doesn’t wait for things to happen, she goes out and makes it happen. That makes her an exceptional student and we here at GoEnnounce believe in you, Kayla!

Congratulations!
