Here in the United States, college loans are a hot topic. According to the Chronicle of Higher Education, of the 20 million students enrolled in college, close to 12 million – or 60% – borrow annually to help cover costs. And an even more outstanding statistic, according to the Federal Reserve, there’s between $902 billion and $1 trillion in total outstanding student loan debt in the United States today!

It makes you think—is student loan debt solely an issue here in the United States, or is this a common theme around the world?
