Our 72nd Abroad101 Student of the Week is the hardworking Moriah Edwards, a senior at California State University, Chico! She is pursing a degree in cellular and molecular biology with a minor in international studies. When Moriah isn’t working hard on her academics, you can find her ballroom dancing, both competitively and recreationally! Her future plans include getting a Master’s Degree in genetic counseling where she can be specialize in diseases or different branches. Most of all Moriah wants to be a knowledgable, compassionate, and skilled worker.
Moriah believes that studying abroad, will enhance her skills and has recently secured an opportunity to do so! She will be studying abroad in England at the University of Essex, where she will continue studying cellular and molecular biology. At this university, she will only be 4 hours away from London, so she hopes to spend some time there as well! She is fundraising to help cover costs of travel and the living expenses while in England. Help this senior achieve a dream that didn’t seem possible and finish her undergraduate career with quite the opportunity! Check out Moriah’s fundraising Mission here.
The Abroad101 Student of the Week initiative awards a student who created a Mission for a study abroad program on GoEnnounce with a donation to their fundraiser. Learn more about this partnership from Abroad101 CEO Mark Shay and GoEnnounce co-founder Melissa Davis here.
