A big congratulations to our 64th Abroad101 Student of the Week, Snigdha Paul! Snigdha is a senior at St. John’s Univesity who is majoring in psychology (under a pre-med) with a minor in biology. Snigdha’s aspiration after obtaining this degree is to become a physician’s assistant. In accordance with becoming a physician’s assistant she will be attending grad school after getting the four year degree at St. John’s University.
Snigdha has been selected out of thousands of Ivy League applicants to participate in a medical hospital internship program through the Atlantis Project. This program will allow her to travel to Cuenca, Spain for two weeks at the end of this December. During this time she will be shadowing doctors and gaining real life/hands on experience that will immensely benefit her future career path. To make this once in a lifetime experience a reality Snigdha has created a fundraising Mission to help with the cost of the program. To date Snigdha has been awarded over $20,000 to help with her educational expenses, so we have no doubt that she deserves and will make the most out of this amazing opportunity. We can’t wait to see what Snigdha learns in Spain and achieves in the future! Check out her fundraising Mission here!
The Abroad101 Student of the Week initiative awards a student who created a Mission for a study abroad program on GoEnnounce with a donation to their fundraiser. Learn more about this partnership from Abroad101 CEO Mark Shay and GoEnnounce co-founder Melissa Davis here.
