This week our Abroad101 Student of the Week award goes to Max Peterson! He is a junior at North Dakota State University who is currently majoring in sports management with a minor in business administration & communications. His future goals are to work with the NBA administration and eventually making his way up the ladder to be in charge of a team one day. With his current experience managing the men’s basketball team, he’s definitely on his way! included being a student manager for the Men’s Basketball program but recently decided to take off for awhile to really focus on his studies. Even with his progress towards his degree a dream that has been instilled in Max since middle school has been to study abroad which he now has the opportunity to do.

Along with his ambitious career aspirations, Max has dreamt of studying abroad since his middle school days.  And that dream is becoming a reality! Max will be heading to Dublin, Ireland to earn school credit for six weeks, all while expanding his horizons of experiencing a new culture. During his time there he will be visiting historic sights all around Europe, as well as learning about the European Union. As we all know, the cost of studying abroad is not cheap, therefore Max as created a GO fundraising Mission to help him get there. His Mission goal includes the cost of everything for his trip from airfare costs, total cost of the program, and other fees to be paid.  Congrats, Max, we can’t wait to see all of your dreams come true!

The Abroad101 Student of the Week initiative awards a student who created a Mission for a study abroad program on GoEnnounce with a donation to their fundraiser. Learn more about this partnership from Abroad101 CEO Mark Shay and GoEnnounce co-founder Melissa Davis here.
