Our 54th Abroad101 Student of the Week award goes to Krista Webb from University of Massachusetts Amherst. Krista is a junior majoring in Spanish and minoring in sociology. She plans on using these studies to become an interpreter as well as a social worker. In her free time, she runs track and field for her university. Her 4x800m relay team came in first at the New England Championship this past May.  If it doesn’t sound like she’s busy enough, Krista is also involved in Athletes in Action and Destino.

Krista will be making a dream of studying abroad a reality this fall at the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Through Academic Programs International she will be earning 12 credits towards her major. This opportunity will allow her to pursue her passions of helping others and exploring cultures. She will be able to build upon the skills she gained through her internships at local community centers. You can learn more about Krista’s semester abroad by checking out her Mission here.

The Abroad101 Student of the Week initiative awards a student who created a Mission for a study abroad program on GoEnnounce with a donation to their fundraiser. Learn more about this partnership from Abroad101 CEO Mark Shay and GoEnnounce co-founder Melissa Davis here.

Stay tuned for our next Abroad101 Student of the Week!

Happy e-nnouncing!
