This week’s Abroad101 Student of the Week award goes to Hannah Jesberger, a junior way who is currently enrolled in the honors program at Bowling Green State University. She loves volunteering and believes it’s a great way to give back to her community. In the past she has spent her time volunteering at soccer camps for kids, the OVH, Crossroads, and tutoring. Not only an avid philanthropist but she’s also an athlete who enjoys being on the soccer field in her free time. On top of all this, Hannah has a love for studying other languages and cultures. This passion made it easy for Hannah to decide to major in intervention specialist and Spanish at BGSU! After graduation, Hannah has aspirations to build schools in Latin America for students with learning disabilities.
Hannah is looking to build upon her current knowledge of cultures and languages by studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina for an entire semester! This opportunity will give her a chance to be immersed in another culture and master her Spanish speaking skills. While studying at Universidad de Belgrano, through International Studies Abroad (ISA), she will also be able to continue to volunteer! We know that the experiences and connections she will gain during this semester abroad will be invaluable to her future career plans and can’t wait to see what she achieves. Hannah has started her second Mission with us to study abroad and you can check it out here!
The Abroad101 Student of the Week initiative awards a student who created a Mission for a study abroad program on GoEnnounce with a donation to their fundraiser. Learn more about this partnership from Abroad101 CEO Mark Shay and GoEnnounce co-founder Melissa Davis here.
