Our Abroad101 Student of the Week award for this week goes to the very ambitious, Ethan Smith, a junior from Seattle University. Ethan is a psychology major who is on the fast track to medical school! On top of being a Bellarmine Academic Merit Award,  Ethan also has a minor in German and is the president of the SU German Club. To round out his already impressive resume he is a member of the SU Water Polo Club and Psi Chi Honors Society. If you didn’t think that was enough, he also has three jobs! Ethan is a resident advisor for his freshman year residence hall, a lifeguard at his university, and is going to start tutoring at a local elementary soon! Phew…When does he sleep?!

Recently Ethan was presented with an incredible opportunity – To study abroad in Berlin, while completing his German minor! The program that he is attending is through International Studies Abroad (ISA), which will give him a chance to experience the culture of another country. We have no doubt that this adventure abroad will also be very beneficial and make a positive impact to his future career plans to become either a pediatrician or adolescent neuroscientist. Studying abroad in Germany has always been a dream of Ethan’s, so were excited to help him make it a reality! Learn more about Ethan’s Mission to head to Berlin here!

The Abroad101 Student of the Week initiative awards a student who created a Mission for a study abroad program on GoEnnounce with a donation to their fundraiser. Learn more about this partnership from Abroad101 CEO Mark Shay and GoEnnounce co-founder Melissa Davis here.
