This week’s Abroad101 Student of the Week is our 40th recipient, Chandler Fox! Chandler is a junior at Texas A&M University who is majoring in nutrition and food science. From a young age Chandler has been infatuated with the food industry, so it’s no surprise that she spends her free time learning about her major and creating new food concoctions. Her future plans include culinary school and working for a company to create new food flavors for future products. What a cool job!
Chandler is one of twenty students that has been accepted into a brand new study abroad program that Texas A&M is offering in Brazil. This program is perfect for Chandler because she will studying sustainable nutrition and food processing! Not only is the area of study ideal for her future career goals but she will also have the opportunity to explore a new country and live on the Amazon! The itinerary includes touring multiple food/beverage processing plants, following a tribe around the Amazon, and so much more! We couldn’t be more excited for Chandler and this opportunity that she is being offered. Learn more about Chandler’s Mission to study abroad in Brazil here!
