Congratulations to Ashley Terry, our 109th Abroad101 Student of the Week winner! She is currently a college freshman at Western Kentucky University. She is majoring in advertising and minoring in business with a concentration in non-profit work. Ashley hopes to eventually become an advertising coordinator for a non-profit organization.
Ashley will be studying abroad for a month in London through The Cooperative Center for Study Abroad (CCSA) and will be receiving up to six hours of university credit. She is very much looking forward to immersing herself in the European culture. During her trip, she will be residing in the Southwark area of London and and studying with faculty and students from other CCSA-member schools at the University of London King’s College Waterloo Campus.
During the weekends, Ashley will be visiting Stonehenge, Edinburg, Salisbury and Alnwick Castle, where Harry Potter and Downton Abbey were filmed. Ashley will have the opportunity to appreciate European architecture, food and the many different art forms. She hopes to make the most of her study abroad trip to London and return more enlightened about the European lifestyle!
Ashley cannot wait to study abroad in London! However, traveling abroad can be expensive, so she has created a Mission for her trip. She will use the donations to pay for her meals, books and course materials and traveling expenses.
We wish Ashley all the best in London and hope that she will have a life changing experience there!
