The time we have all been waiting for; summertime is finally here! Now that you have all this free time on your hands what are you going to do with it? Waking up late, watching massive amounts of television, hanging out with friends, and lounging by the pool are all great things to spend your summer doing, we definitely don’t object! However, maybe these alternatives will add a little creativity to your summer activities:
1. Tour your college campus!
Sure you will be there for the next 4 years of your undergraduate life, but touring the grounds and getting familiar with your surroundings doesn’t hurt! Maybe even see if there are any activities that you would like to join in the fall term. Who knows you might just even meet a friendly face!
2. Go camping!
If you are an outdoorsy kind of person, this is a great idea for you! Make it a point to go camping some time this summer, whether it is with your family or your friends. Go explore and enjoy the great outdoors!
If you are one of those who doesn’t agree with Mother Nature, you can always have the same experience but instead of camping, go to your nearby beach and spend the day lounging under the sun and stay a night in a hotel or suite!
3. Visit an amusement park!
Six Flags has some great adventures you can discover this summer, but why not visit a few amusement parks and make a weekend out of it? Kind of like bar-hopping, but instead it would me called park-hopping! You can visit amusement parks like Six Flags or even water parks like Dorney Park or Splish Splash! If you don’t want to travel so much and so frequently, you can always visit a resort water park like the Great Wolf Lodge and stay a few nights there while enjoying their indoor waterpark! Grab a few friends and let the fun begin!
4. Go on a cruise!
Cruises are such a fun time because there are so many activities on board and you are on a boat! Depending on which cruise line you choose, you may even see a water slide on deck! Cruises are a great idea for families to get together because there is fun for all ages! Daytime and even nightlife activities for children and adults! Go and see what the fuss is all about!
Summer is a great time for you to explore! You have a lot of time and clearly a lot of activities that you can partake in! These are just a few ideas of what you can do this summer! So we encourage you to make your own “To-Do List” and see if you can complete it before summer is over! Go and enjoy the fun in the sun while you can!
