Congratulations Terrease Aiken! You are the 106th Abroad101 Student of the Week winner! Terrease Aiken is an incredible emerging actress and harpist from the big city of New York. She recently graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts, maintains a 3.5 GPA and has received impressive honors and awards, such as the Cum Laude honor and the best supporting actress award. In addition to her brilliant student record, she is a remarkable harpist (she has been playing since her childhood); she is also a member of the Atlanta Heart Strings.

While looking for additional training to help her excel in her career as an actress, Terrease decided to study abroad! She will be studying at the London Academy of Dramatic arts, located in England, to follow a 4-month program that will conclude with a stage performance at the well-known LAMDA theatre. Her plan for the future is to move back to New York City after the completion of her program in London and spend all her time and energy diving into her career as an actress.

Not only will this study abroad experience help Terrease learn about being an actress, but it will also give her the opportunity to foster an international network with actresses from London and around the world. In addition, she will have the unique opportunity to focus on classical acting and Shakespeare, while also learning modern acting styles. However, traveling is expensive, so Terrease created a fundraising Mission for her trip to London. She has officially secured her deposit, tuition and plane ticket and will use the funds from her fundraising Mission to help pay for the rest of her housing fees at the Ravenscourt Park dorm in West London.

We wish Terrease all the best in London and hope to see her dreams come true!
